2. Eligibility and Participation:
Participants have the following options to participate:
Individual: Open to all current UTD students
Group of 2: Consisting of only current UTD students.
Group of 3: Consisting of only current UTD students.
Group of 4: Consisting of 3 current UTD students and 1 UTD alumni or Consisting of 4 current UTD students
EnVision members will have their entry fee waived upon verification of membership status.
3. Registration:
An entry fee of $10 is required for each individual participating.
Team captains are responsible for registering their teams and ensuring payment is made for all team members. Please Zelle a $10 participation fee per individual to envisionutd@gmail.com. Please contact mallikarjun.gudumagattenagaraja@utdallas.edu and neha.mukundramanujam@utdallas.edu if any issues arise with payment.
Check-in will open at 8:30 am and close promptly at 10:30. (On the day of the event)
More than a 1-hour delay in getting checked in after start time (around 9:30 am) will disqualify the entire team.
4. Team Formation:
Teams must choose a unique team name.
Each team must designate a team captain who will serve as the primary point of contact for all communications.
5. Competition Guidelines:
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and any necessary software/tools for data analysis.
All data provided for the competition will be available to registered teams at the event's start.
Teams will be presented with specific data-related challenges they must address within the given time frame.
All work must be original, and any use of unauthorized external resources will result in disqualification.
Teams must submit their final solutions and presentations by the specified deadline.
Plagiarism or academic dishonesty will not be tolerated, resulting in immediate disqualification.
6. Judging and Prizes:
A panel of judges will evaluate the solutions and presentations.
Prizes will be awarded to the 3 top-performing teams.
Judges' decisions are final.
7. Code of Conduct:
Participants are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism and respect towards all other participants, organizers, and judges.
Any disruptive or inappropriate behavior may lead to disqualification and removal from the event.
8. Waivers and Permissions:
By participating in the datathon, all participants grant The University of Texas at Dallas the right to use photographs, video recordings, and other media for promotional purposes.
9. Liability:
The University of Texas at Dallas and event organizers are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred during the datathon.
10.Changes to Rules and Regulations: The organizers reserve the right to change these rules and regulations at their discretion.

By participating in Data Vizcraft - Powered by Tableau, all participants agree to abide by these rules and regulations. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification from the event.
